Longrunning show is honored with its own postage stamps

POINT PLEASANT — Letter carriers across the nation are helping stamp out hunger. And residents in Mason County can do their part to help by participating in this weekend’s annual food drive.

Jason Macke had planned to get a city license so his out-of-town company could buy precious metals and gems in Rapid City this week, until he got an email from the city telling him not to bother. He didn’t need one.

The good news is that you won’t have to use a stamp. The better news is that you will help feed the community’s hungry people.

(Springfield, MO) — After twenty years on television, Bart Simpson is finally getting his face on a stamp. Thursday marked the first day you could buy the U.S. Postal Service’s new Simpsons stamps. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are featured on the five different stamps.

Local United States Postal Service letter carriers will do their part in helping to feed Alice families in need on Saturday, May 9, during the “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive.

Springfield, Vt., has become the official home of the Simpsons cartoon family.

PASCO Wash – Second harvest of Tri-Cities and the National Association of Letter Carriers are partnering up to “Stamp Out Hunger.”
